I found my inspiration in the book The Secret Garden of the writer Frances Hodgson Burnett. I was taken over by the symbolism of the garden, which represents a human return to nature. Its flowering and awakening has a healing effect to the psychophysical state of man.
The secret garden is an ode of hope and faith that everything grows in the light. From the story we learn that nature, its beauty and love are the most effective medicine. They are a gift that people do not protect enough.
White flowers represents the light and hope, the positive power of a child mind. The dark elements of the garden are placed into a wire web representing a conventional society which is affected from rules and rational thinking of adults. It is a process that affects one another and continues from generation to generation through centuries. It is beautiful and miraculous.
